You have skills that we need. It could be something as simple, yet extremely important, as being able to cook or make sandwiches. Perhaps you are good with a chain saw, hiking, driving, writing, photography, or just loving on people who lost everything and feel hopeless. Whatever it is that you are good at, we need it!

WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
This Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification Agreement (“Agreement”) is executed by the volunteer (“Volunteer”) in favor of RoCo Relief, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives (collectively referred to as “Organization”).
1. Volunteer Activities
The Volunteer is participating in community service activities organized by the Organization in response to Hurricane Helene (“Activities”). These Activities may include, but are not limited to, debris removal, shelter assistance, distribution of supplies, and transportation of individuals.
2. Assumption of Risk
The Volunteer understands and acknowledges that participation in the Activities may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional distress, and property damage. The Volunteer voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in the Activities, whether known or unknown, and acknowledges that such risks may be significant.
3. Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Volunteer hereby waives, releases, and discharges the Organization from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action that may arise from any injury, damage, or loss incurred during participation in the Activities, including but not limited to those resulting from the negligence of the Organization or its representatives.
4. Indemnification
The Volunteer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organization from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to the Volunteer’s participation in the Activities, including any claims made by third parties.
5. Medical Treatment
In the event of an injury, the Volunteer consents to receive any necessary medical treatment, and the Volunteer agrees to be responsible for any and all costs associated with such treatment.
6. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Rutherford County, North Carolina.
7. Acknowledgment
The Volunteer acknowledges that they have read this Agreement in its entirety, understand its contents, and are acknowledging it voluntarily. The Volunteer understands that this is a binding legal document.
